Behind the Walls

Mission

The mission of this website is for the general public to use as a central hub of information about the injustices caused by the criminal justice system. I am hoping to take a look at the individual in their environment when young and vulnerable, through imprisonment, and onward to the policies and corporations that keep them there. We are the most jailing country in the world and there is a reason. Please watch the videos to educate yourself, please comment when you feel so inclined, and also leave any recommendations for other videos you feel would be beneficial to this site. Thank you.

Behind the walls, inmates become more voiceless than ever before. There is a lack of adequate health care, working for pennies a day for Fortune 500 companies, and many more injustices to human rights and dignities.

This video, called “Predators and Prey” by National Geographic, covers how emotionally fueled and short sighted decisions affect the safety of prisoners and guards.
